Dementia Hub Drop In

 

On the first Tuesday of every month the PCN and Alzehmier's Society host a drop in session for those who:

 

Have Dementia

Live or care for someone with Dementia

Family member and friends of someone with Dementia

Carers

 

The drop in session runs from 10am - 12pm at the Live Well hub, Manor Street, Braintree, CM7 3HP

Every fornight from the 10th November 2023 The White Hart Hotel will be hosting the Freshwell Low Carb Community who are running drop in sessions for those looking to:

Reduce Weight

Lower cholesterol

Manage type two diabetes

Help control your blood pressure

Crossroad Care - A Rest Bite Day Care Centre and Support Group

 
  • Professional care and support in a warm and welcoming atmosphere
  • Activities and entertainment throughout the day
  • Lunch cooked on premises
  • Fully trained staff
  • Carer Support Worker on site throughout providing information and emotional support.

As an alternative to home care, the aim of the Centre is to provide a safe, friendly and relaxed atmosphere both for carers and the cared for with an opportunity to meet and socialise with other people in a similar situation. At the same time their carer will have an opportunity to have some precious time to call their own.

We encourage carers to visit the centre and see how warm and friendly we are.  The first session when you come to visit is free of charge.  Please book an appointment to come and see us.

All of our staff and volunteers are fully trained and also have an enhanced DBS.

Crafty Cafe - Mondays

Come and get crafty at the Braintree Baptist Church each Monday between 10.00am - 12.30pm.

 

Bounce Cafe - Every First Saturday of the Month

The aim is to bring together the community, share the news with family and friends, all are welcome. Bounce Cafe shall be run every first Saturday of the month at the Braintree Baptist Church between 10.00am - 12.00pm. There will be a bouncy castle as well as hot food and drinks being served. There is no entry fee, just turn up on the door.

 

Cosy Cafe - Sundays

If you are lonely or struggling with rising costs or want to have a chat, come and meet the cosy cafe family.

Come along to the Cosy Cafe on Sunday afternoons between 12.30pm - 2.30pm at the Braintree Baptist Church.

Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a bowl of soup whilst keeping warm and socialising.

 

Menopause Natter Network - 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the Month 7.00pm - 9pm

A chance to talk to others about your experience and support each other, you are not alone. All are welcome, it's free of charge and there shall be tea, coffee and cakes available to buy.
