The Essex Sexual Health Service is there to help anyone across Essex, access information, support and treatment that they need to stay safe, healthy and protected.
They can help you with the following:
- Emergency Contraception
- Finding out if your pregnant, discovering your options and how to access them
- Finding out if you have an STI/STD (Sexual Transmitted Infection/Disease)
- Contraception
- Ways to get tested including self testing
- STI treatment options
- Sexual Wellbeing & Advice, counselling and support

Braintree Sexual Health Clinic - Opening Hours & Times
Tuesday : Closed
Wednesday : 8am – 8pm
Thursday : Closed
Friday : Closed
Sunday : Closed
Additional Information
Attendance at the clinic is by appointment only. They are open on a Monday and Wednesday providing a full range of services including:
- General sex advice and support
- Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections
- Chlamydia screening
- Pregnancy tests
- Emergency contraception/morning after pill
- Other forms of contraception
For emergencies please telephone the service intelligence centre and speak to a member of our team.
There are a number of public car parks close by that you can park at including Tesco and Sainsbury which are a short walk away. We do have a couple of disabled parking spaces at the venue if required. Alternatively the venue is next to the bus station, local taxi ranks and a 5 minute walk from the train station.
