Samaritans are a registered chairty aimed at providing emotional support to anyone in emotional distress, struggling to cope or at risk of suicide. They are available day or night for those who need someone to listen without judgement or pressure.
Samaritans is not only for the moment of crisis, they are there to help take action to prevent crisis by giving people ways to cope and the skills to be there for others. They encourage, promote and celebreate those moments of connection between people that can save lives, offer listening and support to people and communities in times of need.
They offer you a safe place to talk at anytime you like, in your own way about what is causing you emotional distress.

Samaritans can help support you if you are having a difficult time, struggling to cope, provide support groups for those bereaved by suicide and support for those at risk of suicide/are feeling suicidal.
They also provide support to those who are worried about someone else, if you think it is an emeregncy, you are supporting someone with suicial thoughts and give advise on how to support someone you are worried about.
The Samaritans also support workplaces, schools, in prisions, in the military and in health and care with a range of programmes.
